Hi, I’m pickard to my friends and every one else that wants to know me. So what about me, who am I, what am I, where am I going. Well I was born and brought up in ....Scotland..... My father was a farm manager and would move on after every 3 years, but we settled on the ....island.. of ..Mull.... from when I was aged 10. I had a fantastic primary school teacher Mrs Mary Morrison who managed to put me through the 11 plus exam No problem, which we had in those days. And that was the end of my education and its got me through my life without any problems. Why you may ask, well I was brought up as a Catholic in a strong Protestant community and you could say I did not fit in, as a teenager, it was a hard lonely day, even the teachers did not want to know me, I was just ignored, it did not seem to bother me, I think it was my Mum always telling me “Sticks and stones will break your bones but names will never harm you”. So I would spend my days fishing for trout or salmon or I would go shooting for my Mums pot, as I had grown up with rifles and thought nothing of it, it was part of my life then. Where we lived was about 3 miles from the nearest village and any human life other than my family. Time to Fly the Nest.... When I was 15 I got myself my first job on a farm on another island (Gometra) of the west coast of Mull
