Who am I? Great question. I’m not defined by my job, car, clothing or “things”. Yes, I have a great career that is incredibly rewarding - spiritually, creatively, and financially - but it does not define me. I have a nice car. I dress well for any occasion. I have material success. But if I lost all of this, it wouldn’t matter, because these are just temporary. To know how I define myself, you need to know my character, my values, and my view of the world. I could tell you much of this, but to truly know me would take a lifetime. What drives me - what gets me up every morning, and keeps me up late at night - can be summed up as passionate creativity harnessed to better myself, my world, and the people I share it with. This is tempered with feet firmly planted on the ground, and knowing what will work and what won’t when it comes to achieving goals or making dreams come true. I don’t chase rainbows and I don’t live in a fantasy world. I wouldn’t have survived 20 years as a business owner if I did. My thirst for life extends well beyond work; I am a man of many talents. I don't play by the rules. I have a quick wit, a keen intellect and a multidimensional mind. The kitchen is my sanctuary. Travel excites my senses and awakens my childlike awe of the world. Staying close to family connects me to my roots. Reading opens my eyes to new ideas that challenge what I know. Fixing things (cars, plumbing, rescue dogs) gives me a sense of satisfaction.
